Job Description

Job Title: Gate Controller

Reporting To: Yard Manager

Location: 654 West Southport Rd, Kissimmee.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. (weekend work may be required at auction time)

A division of the Euro Auctions Group, Yoder and Frey have been conducting auctions of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery since 1964 with sites based in Florida, Ohio, and Texas.

Gate Controllers are responsible for ensuring all visitors and deliveries to the site are authorized and for directing the movement of stock on and around the site. The auction stock can range from diggers and dump trucks to cars and crushers.

Key Activities:

• This is an active, outdoor job and requires someone with the ability to identify all types of heavy equipment.
• Directing staff, visitors, and deliveries to the yard.
• Ensuring unauthorized people/vehicles do not enter the yard.
• Recording customer details for all deliveries to the yard.
• Overseeing loading chart post auction.

The Requirements

Essential Criteria:

• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Good Data entry skills with attention to detail and ability to spell.
• Computer literate and experience using stock management systems.

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge/ability to operate construction machinery.
